Artist Series - Ryan McGinley #7

Jonas (Waterfall), 2008 / 2009

I chose this image as the last one in my series for Ryan McGinley because it is my favorite. The lighting, the colors, and the precise detail make it all come together to evoke that feeling one should have when looking at a photograph. Feelings that can not be described in words, for they do not do it justice.

I am at peace when I am where I belong.

Artist Series - Ryan McGinley #3

Jonas & Marcel (Blue Altar), 2009

This picture reminds me of when my family and I would go on road trips to Cave City, Kentucky. Some of the best memories come from those trips. Oh how I wish I could go back there right this instant to crawl through caves and be within a few inches of little bats.

Artist Series - Ryan McGinley

Every once and a while, when the feeling strikes me, I will dedicate one week to an artist and their works. Each day I will post a piece of work that is visually striking, intriguing, or inspiring to me. This is the "Artist Series." First up is the talented photographer Ryan McGinley.

Titled "Coco (Moon River) 2008"

So peaceful. So pure. I long to escape into nature and submerge myself in its beauty.

Bonjour Salvador

During my trip to Paris I was able to visit the little museum, in the Montmartre, dedicated to the talented artist Salvador Dali. Though small in its size, the insight into Dali's work throughout the expose was inspiring, in a tremendous way.

"time and the indivisibility of space...it is a fluid."
